  3. Domain: The domain should be set up on your hosting account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    I) The way via the local computer with (s)FTP:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Download and prepare WordPress<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Open the official WordPress page:
      German download page: https:\/\/de.wordpress.org\/download<\/a>
      Direct download link:       https:\/\/de.wordpress.org\/latest-de_DE.zip<\/a>

      (English download page: wordpress.org\/download)
      <\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Download the latest WordPress version:<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click on \"Download WordPress\" or \"Download WordPress\".<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Save the ZIP file on your computer (e.g. in the \"Downloads\" folder).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    5. Unzip the ZIP file:<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    6. It is best to place the files in a new folder, e.g. \"wp\".
      After unpacking, you will find the WordPress files such as wp-admin, wp-content, wp-includes and wp-config-sample.php.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Transfer WordPress files to the server via FTP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Connect to the server using an FTP program (e.g. FileZilla).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Upload the unzipped WordPress files to the desired folder on the server (e.g. root directory or \/blog).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Check whether all files have been uploaded completely.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        I) Alternative to FTP: The path directly in the server<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Requirement: Logged in to the server via SSH with appropriate rights<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        1. Change to the installation directory (public_html, www, or similar)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Create WordPress root directory, for example \"name-of-the-domain\"<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Download WordPress with wget https:\/\/wordpress.org\/latest.tar.gz<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        4. Unpack with tar xfz latest.tar.gz<\/code><\/li>\n\n\n\n
        5. Clean up with \"mv wordpress\/* .\" \"rm -rf wordpress latest.tar.gz\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          II) Create database<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          1. Log into the customer menu of your hoster (e.g. cPanel, Plesk).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Create a new MySQL database.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Create a database user and assign a secure password.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Link the user to the database and assign all rights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Save the access data: Database name, user name, password.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            III) Start WordPress installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
              \n
            1. Open the URL of your website in the browser (e.g. https:\/\/deine-domain.de or https:\/\/deine-domain.de\/blog).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            2. Select the language and click on \"Next\".<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            3. Enter the database access data:
              Database name
              User name
              password
              Database host (127.0.0.1 instead of localhost)
              Table prefix<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            4. Click on \"Send\".<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              IV) Complete the installation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              Enter the basic information:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. Website title<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              2. Username for the admin account (PLEASE do not use \"admin\"!!!)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              3. Secure password<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              4. E-mail address<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              5. Decide whether the website should be found by search engines (don't forget later...)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              6. Click on \"Install WordPress\".<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                Finished<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                You will receive a success message.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
