Regular Compliance Check for Your Online Presence

With the Website Compliance Check, we periodically review your website to ensure it has a correct legal notice, up-to-date privacy policy, and a functioning cookie consent form.
Why is regular inspection important?
In most cases, the legal notice and privacy policy are reviewed only once when the website is created and then never updated again. However, a website is not static. Data protection requirements may change over time as you expand your website. One reason, for example, is the integration of new features or services that require your visitors’ consent. Changes in the law or new court rulings may also necessitate adjustments.
An example
You are retroactively integrating a chat system into your website to interact with your visitors. Your visitors must then be informed in the privacy policy about what happens to the information they enter into the chat. In addition, they may need to consent to, for example, their IP address being stored and shared with the service provider.
If you forget to take this step, you run the risk of receiving a formal warning—which will incur a fee—from a warning letter agency or a competitor.
What We Do for You
Our service regularly checks to ensure that your website is still in compliance with data protection regulations. In doing so, we assess whether the technology used on your website requires specific disclosures in the privacy policy or the consent of your visitors.
If we discover any gaps, we will provide you with technical documentation of the affected services and data flows, which you can forward to your legal counsel. We will make the necessary technical adjustments to your cookie consent directly on your behalf.
An Important Note
We regularly compare the current technical status We'll review your privacy policy and cookie consent form and point out any gaps.
What we are not permitted to do—and are not able to do—is provide a legal assessment or legal advice!
Only a lawyer specializing in IT law or a data protection officer can determine whether your privacy policy is legally sound and meets all legal requirements.
Our guidance does not replace this review, and we assume no liability for any legal consequences, such as cease-and-desist letters.
