1. Updates mit manueller Funktionsprüfung

In regelmäßigen Abständen aktualisieren wir die Software Ihres CMS. Bei WordPress sind dies Core-System, PlugIns und Themes. Nach jedem Update führen wir manuelle Funktionsprüfungen der Website und des Designs durch.

Sollte ein Update zu einer Funktionsstörung führen, versuchen wir selbständig die Ursache zu finden und zu beben. 

Im Fair-Use Modell findet das völlig im Hintergrund statt, Sie merken wahrscheinlich nicht einmal, dass wir aktiv waren. Auf Wunsch erhalten Sie einen Report über alle durchgeführten Arbeiten.

2. Sicherheitspaket für WordPress

WordPress wird zwar immer sicherer, allerdings ist es durch seine Bekanntheit und durch seine heterogene PlugIn-Landschaft auch immer wieder gern Ziel von Attacken aller Art. Wir führen für Ihre WordPress Seite einen ganzen Maßnahmenkatalog an Sicherheitsvorkehrungen aus, um das System von Grund auf abzuhärten.

Ihr WordPress System wird täglich auf einem Cloud-Speicher gesichert. Die Rotation erfolgt dabei 14 tägig. Im Fall der Fälle können wir somit in kürzester Zeit eine Wiederherstellung Ihrer kompletten Website durchführen. Auf Wunsch richten wir Ihnen ebenfalls, die dauerhaft bestehen bleiben können. Bei Befall werden wir alamiert und können zügig handeln.

What does a website maintenance package include?

Support

Support includes help and advice in the event of technical faults, minor administrative tasks (e.g. registering domains, setting up SPF entries, etc.)

Alerting and rectifying technical problems

Your website is monitored 24/7 for operational readiness and malware or virus infestation. If faults occur, we are notified automatically. Malfunctions requiring only minor corrective action are rectified by us independently and are included in the annual flat rate. If more extensive measures need to be carried out, these will be discussed with you in advance.

Regular and verified updates

Your website's software is updated approximately once a month or immediately in the event of serious security vulnerabilities. After each update, the operational readiness of the website is
checked at random. If an update fails, the previous status is restored and a further procedure is discussed. The update of PHP versions is also included. PHP is the programming language of your website and runs on the server's operating system. Regular updates prevent PHP from becoming obsolete, which means that your website can no longer be updated and therefore represents a security risk.

Safety & performance package

This package is a special bundle of technical measures with the two objectives of achieving a short website loading time and hardening the website against external attacks. For this purpose, your website is mirrored on one of our managed servers. The technical details depend on the CMS you use. The following measures are carried out for WordPress

Backup

Your website is backed up once a day. The backup system automatically saves the last 10 backups. Certain statuses can be archived for you on request.

Analysis

The analysis tool "Matomo" (matomo.org), a GDPR-compliant alternative to Google Analytics, is installed and configured on your website. This makes it possible to measure precise analyses of visitor behaviour on your website. Once a month, you will receive a report with the relevant figures as a PDF by email.

What happens if I cancel the "RundUmsorgt" maintenance contract?

The most important thing first: We leave you with an up-to-date and tidy website garden.

If your website was managed on one of our managed servers during the term of the contract, you will receive the complete backup and can use it to switch to any other hoster. We can set up the new environment there on request.

The backup and archive in our cloud storage will be terminated after the contract period. You can receive the last backup status on request.

The Matomo analysis service is deactivated.

All plug-ins, e.g. security plug-ins such as two-factor authentication, which are licenced through us, will continue to run.

However, updates are no longer carried out for these. If you wish to perform updates for these plug-ins, you must purchase the licences yourself. The move is carried out as part of a normal order (see "Hire a website gardener").

Of course, we can also uninstall all modified additional software on request, leaving no traces behind.

What happens if my website goes down or a technical problem occurs?

Your website is subject to continuous monitoring around the clock, seven days a week. Not only is the general operational readiness of your online presence monitored, but also the occurrence of harmful influences such as malware or viruses. This monitoring is carried out using specialised software designed to detect potential threats and irregularities at an early stage.

If any faults or anomalies are detected during this continuous monitoring, we receive automatic notifications immediately. This allows us to react quickly and ensure the integrity of your website. Many of the more common minor faults can be caused by our team can be remedied without extensive intervention.

If you, as a Rundumsorgt customer, observe a fault that has not been reported by our monitoring system, please contact us immediately. During business hours, these faults are treated as a top priority.

Like support in the fair-use model, troubleshooting is included in our maintenance contracts.

For more complex problems that go beyond the scope of standard maintenance and may require more extensive interventions in your website structure or functionality, we will always contact you in advance. Before we take such measures, we discuss the situation and the proposed solutions.

What does website maintenance cost?

We distinguish between different categories of website maintenance:

Technical website maintenance / support

Technical website maintenance includes services that are regularly carried out proactively, i.e. in the background for your website. This includes work such as updates with testing, monitoring, website checks and security measures.

However, the main advantage of a maintenance contract is that you have a direct contact person who knows your site well and can react quickly if problems arise.

We charge a fixed monthly amount for technical maintenance & support. We have different levels here, for example a larger online shop with many additional functions and higher accessibility needs more extensive and more expensive services for security, hosting and speed than a marketing site that works more passively. In this case, you will receive an offer with a total monthly amount after analysing your website and a personal consultation.
