1. updates with function test
We update the software of your CMS at regular intervals. In the case of WordPress, this includes the core system, plug-ins and themes. After each update, we carry out manual functional checks of the website and design. Please also read our FAQ. If an update leads to a malfunction, we try to find the cause and fix it ourselves. In the fair-use model, this takes place completely in the background, you probably won't even notice that we were active.
2. security package
WordPress in particular is a candidate for security vulnerabilities due to the heterogeneous plugin landscape if you are not familiar with the system. We implement a whole catalogue of security measures for your WordPress site, which we will of course inform you about in detail.
3. backups with free restore
Your WordPress system is backed up daily to cloud storage. The rotation takes place every 14 days. If the worst comes to the worst, we can therefore restore your entire website in the shortest possible time. On request, we can also set up archiving points - so-called snapshots - that can remain permanently, for example for reasons of proof.
4. monitoring and active intervention in the event of faults
Your website is automatically monitored 24/7 for outages. If faults occur, we rectify them as part of the fair use procedure. In practice, it was often the case that our customers only noticed a malfunction because we informed them that it had been rectified.
5. daily virus and malware scan
An additional layer that offers further security. With our security measures, we do everything we can to prevent malware from getting anywhere near your website. Sometimes, however, there are sites that have a less restrictive security policy, e.g. club sites with many editors. If "vermin" have crept in through carelessness, they will be detected by us. Every night, every file and the database is scanned for malware. In the event of an infestation, we are alerted and can act quickly.
